FAQs

What is a lithium-ion battery?

Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable, portable batteries used for a variety of everyday items, from your laptop to your digital camera. Li-ion are one of the most efficient and long-lasting types of battery available, with most being capable of hundreds of charges.

Why is my lithium-ion battery not charging fully?

Li-ion batteries usually take 4-5 charge cycles to adjust to new devices. This means that, on your first few charges, the battery will not necessarily be at full capacity after a complete charge. However, this is completely normal for li-ion batteries, so no need to worry!

What is a charge cycle?

A charge cycle is one complete recharge and discharge of a battery (i.e. the battery running from 100% to 0%).

What is the best way to store and use AC adapters?

Make sure your AC adapters are as straight as possible when being stored and avoid storing or using them while they are tangled as this can lead to unnecessary damage to the adapter. Also make sure not to accidentally(!) place heavy objects on the AC adapter, regardless of whether it is in use or not, as this can also lead to significant damage.

What is a Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery?

Sealed lead acid batteries are rechargeable and durable batteries mainly used in items such as golf trollies, UPS backup systems, and portable generators -they are less likely to leak than their lead acid equivalents.
